Response to Your Call Sample Letter
Dear Mr. Haddad:
On (date), at (time) I called FWC law enforcement about a protected species problem in my (location). Specifically the problem was (explain). It took officer (name) to respond to the call. By the time he got here, (explain) occurred.
Officer (name) did the following: (explain)
I am pleased to say that his actions were extremely successful in protecting the (species). OR Due to the long period of time between call and response, the damage was done. AND/OR Officer (name) did not appear to be aware of the regulations pertaining to take or harassment of a protected species and was not willing to write a citation or at least a warning that would likely stop the actions we complained about.
I am writing to you because this person should be commended for his professional handling of the situation. OR I would like to file a formal complaint against this officer because of (explain). I have attached documentation of the events that took place before, during and after the officer left the scene.
I hope to have a report from you or your staff clearly explaining the officer’s actions in this circumstance and an indication that the officer was some how reprimanded OR I hope that Officer (name) will receive some recognition for a job well done.
