SPECIAL CHELONIAN EXPEDITIONSExpeditions to See Turtles and Tortoises and Their Habitats, Conservation Efforts, and Husbandry Methods
The Institute is offering annual trips for small groups of individuals to travel to various parts of the world to go into the field to see various turtles and tortoises in the wild, to evaluate habitat, meet with experts and see collections in the parent countries. Our first Expedition was to the Galapagos Islands in 2005. Other trips are being planned for South Africa, Southeast Asia and China.
Groups are limited to 16 people of like interests. All trips, if successful, include funds to support conservation research.
Please let us know if you are interested on one of the other trips and if your group would like to co-sponsor a program.
